ISO 12944-7 is about execution and supervision of painting operations onto steel structures at workshop or in  site.

ISO 12944-7 IS NOT applicable on:

- Preparation of surfaces that must be painted  (ISO 12944-4) neither to its relevant supervision.
- the application of metallic covering
- Pre-treatment methods as phosphating, chromating and to the particular methods of paint application as: dipping, powder coating, coil coating
